The Model...

The courtyard, office and the little courtyard behind the the office.

This section cut photo also shows material of the void at the front of the gallery which I use to link the gallery with the street.
People still feel they are a part of Newtown in side this part of the gallery but the shadow casting by the second floor and the artworks around this space hint the visitors that there is a distinction between the two different space.

Close up of the courtyard and its relationship with the gallery. There is no clear distinction between them but a transparent glazing. I want to show that the courtyard is also a space for art. They do not need to be lock inside a closed space but anywhere.

The little courtyard for the owner outside her office. Also shows the relationship of the vegetation within the little garden with the second floor.

The balcony outside the apartment

The back of the gallery, a large garage door for delivering material and artworks. Beside this door is the fire escape door which the fire stair leads to.

The glass overhang at the front continue the street wall of Newtown but when people walk under it and look up, they can see what is going on on the second floor and third floor. The overhang would not restrict their range of sight.
